The course provides an overview of the different types of keys used in hotels and their specific functions, based on the level of access they grant. These are:

1. Grand Master Key: Provides universal access to all rooms, including those with double locks, typically held by the general manager.

2. Master Key: Given to the executive housekeeper and duty manager, this key can open most rooms in the hotel but cannot unlock double-locked doors.

3. Floor Master Key: Issued to housekeeping staff, this key grants access to all rooms on a single floor but no access to rooms on other floors.

4. Section Key: Used for a subset of rooms within a floor, often for organizational purposes when a floor is divided into sections.

The keys help hotel staff maintain security while ensuring the necessary access to various areas of the hotel.
